Cincinnati Poet Laureate Emeritus (April 2016-March 2018)

On April 15, 2016, Pauletta Hansel became Cincinnati’s first Poet Laureate.  She served a two year term, through March 2018 promoting poetry appreciation, encouraging the reading and writing of poetry throughout the city as well as composing and reading poems for special events and occasions. The current Poet Laureate is Manuel Iris.

In April 2017, CityBeat named Pauletta Cincinnati’s Best Ambassador for Poetry in recognition of her work.
